Red Braised octopus and codfish head – Korean food for lunch menu

At everyday lunch, my big worry is what to eat today.
I like food something spicy, savory and deep.

Yesterday, I wanted to eat hot and spicy korean food.
So, we selected seasoning steamed octopus(낙지찜: nakji jjim)
I went Mijo which located in Jwacheondong Busan Korea. Jwacheondong is my hometown.

Local people say that foods which made in Mijo restaurant is delicious and so clean.

Braised codfish head

  • Small one: 18,000 KRW
  • Medium one: 25,000 KRW
  • Large one: 35,000 KRW

Braised octopus

  • Small one: 20,000 KRW
  • Medium one: 25,000 KRW
  • Large one: 30,000 KRW
  • Codfish soup: 7,000 KRW
  • a bowl of rice: 1,000 KRW
  • Chewy noodle for inside main dish: 1,000 KRW
  • Ramen noodle for inside main dish: 1000 KRW

We ordered a small Braised octopus which tasted middle sipcy and two bowls of rice.

Desert sweet rice drink(sikhye)

On the self table, we could pick sweet rice drink contains pumpkin which named sikhye.
Generally, we drink sikhye after meal. But this time, we drank sikhye before.

Main & side dishes

This time, side dishes and main dish became at the same time.
I think that the reason for that is after lunch time, there are not so many people.

Crazy visual! As you see, it tastes crazy too. We loved it.

Put bean sprouts

As you see, you can get bean sprouts in main dish.
It decreases spicy taste and make main dish soft.

Octupus was so chewy and sauce was very impressive.
A little spicy, but good to eat. And when we rolled vegetables, It was a good combination!

We loved the taste of main dish, and we want have some more. So we added 2 Chewy noodles.(JJolmyeon sari)

Harmony of noodle and sauce is fantastic. I think that this is the very Korean food.
I was full, but I couldn’t stop eating

It was so great lunch!
If you are in Korea, even in busan, I recommend Mijo restaurant.
This may be your best experience or best meal in your travel.
And I want to get the point this restaurant.
